WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
THE GRAND DAY OUT / SUUMER EXCURSION and BBQ
The Grand Day Out is back for a 4th year, our annual 200km audax, but this year we have added a 100km option ( The Summer Excursion) and also a BBQ that friends and family can attend when you finish at Old Yardleians Rugby Club .
The Grand Day Out will start at 7.30am from the Hare & Hounds on York Rd, where you can get a coffee and a pastry , pick up your brevet card and hear the rider briefing.
The Summer Excursion starts at the same place, but at 11.25am - so that riders will finish roughly at the same time for the BBQ ( which starts at 4pm).
For full details go to the events page and to book your spot head over to rider sign on.
CYCLING STRENGTH GROUP
The Whole Way Performance continue to hold the cycling strength work shops at Achieve Functional Fitness ( at Moseley RFC ) on Tuesdays at 7.30pm - check out their link www.thewholewayperformance.co.uk/cyclingstrength
This block is already underway, but there is a possibility that you can join this one, and then go onto the next. I know a number of club members are attending these sessions already and are enjoying them, and finding them beneficial.
GORILLA ENDURANCE
Antony Stewart rode the Dragon Ride on Sunday - 222km with 3500m of climbing through Wales. Good work mate, and Paul May rode the 211km from London to Birmingham rather than taking the train home. Chapeau.
