WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
GORILLA CHRISTMAS SOCIAL
The Christmas social is this Friday (5th December) from 6.30pm at Schooners on York Road. Open invitation - partners and friends are always welcome. Christmas jumpers / sparkly tops are greatly encouraged. See you there?
NEW CHARITY OF THE YEAR
As it's coming to the end of the year, and we hope to be able to finalise the final sum that we have managed to raise for our 2025 charity - St Vincent de Paul Society (England & Wales) in the coming weeks , we are looking for a new charity to support as a club for 2026. Ideally the charity would be local, or relevant to the club/bikes ( but that is not essential). If you have any nominations please do let a committee member know , or put in the comments below, or send an email to cyclingclubgorilla@gmail.com . Closing date for nominations will be start January 2026, when the committee will then vote on those nominated charities to finalise a winner.
GORILLA RACING
Chris Mapp came 5th V40 in round 10 of the West Midlands Cyclocross league on a lumpy Shropshire course. We think he might have won the overall V40 title, but are just waiting for final confirmation. Whatever he's had a spectacular season in the mud - well done Chris .
GORILLA ZWIFT
Whilst our usual host Eugene Vichare is channelling his inner Steve Davis on Wednesday for his local snooker team, Bruno is leading the regular Zwift session this Wednesday at 6.30pm. The event - a Ghostbusters inspired 31.8km route around virtual New York on the Say Puft pursuit circuit - is already set up in the Gorilla Cycling Club section on the companion app for you to sign up to. So bring your proton packs and be ready to blast some slime.
