The Rebellion Way
Six of the troop - Rob Anderson, Lee Allgood, Lee Tandy, Iain Davie, John Ramsden and Bruno rode The Rebellion Way, a 250 mile all terrain CyclingUK route through Norfolk at the weekend. With approx 45% off road on farm tracks, through woodland, across fields, on single track and through sand, and the remainder on small quiet roads.
We took 3 days - approx 125km a day - staying in hotels en route. The trip was not without drama - Rob’s gears failed halfway through day one and just after he’s been stung by a wasp, but after getting transport to that nights accommodation , a fix was found with a piece of tin foil from the hotel kitchen, which lasted the rest of the trip. We had punctures, but not many needed plugging - though Lee did need 2 dyna plugs in 1 hole to stop the sealant and air escaping. And people did fall off - 8 times in total - though luckily no major injuries as the landings were soft, if nettle ridden. but overall a very successful , and rewarding trip. Where shall we go next year? And who wants to join us?
