WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
GORILLA GIRO TIME TRIAL
Based on a similar parcours ( up a hill, then back down it on the other side of the road) and length ( 13.5km) to the Giro d'Italia opening individual time trial , our Gorilla Giro Time Trial is this weekend. You will find the gpx file ( or top of cross bar) instructions on our website in the Events section. As this is a Strava timed segment ( which you can do either Saturday, or Sunday morning) you will need to join the Gorilla Cycling Club Strava club, so we can see your times. There will be club rides taking in this segment on Sunday. There will be prizes for fastest open time over the weekend, fastest woman over the weekend, and best time trialist ( what ever that may be!). Prize ceremony will be at Hare and Hounds on Sunday lunchtime. Have fun!

GORLLA ENDURANCE
Ride of the week has to be John Pears who completed the Girona Traka 560km - yes you read that correctly. 560km ( 350 miles) , nearly 10,000m ( 33,000ft )of climbing in nearly 33 1/2 hours.. immense. Chapeau !!
Other rides of note were:
Blake Timmins rode the original 200km Grand Day out route.
Rob Anderson rode most of the Trans Kernow way - he got a little lost, but did over 100 miles..fair play.
GORILLA RACING
Daniel Hand rode the Pan Celtic Gravel Rally - he placed well on stage 1, coming 10th overall, and kept up there on the night stage, but a 20 minute puncture stop of stage 4 cost him dearly - but still an excellent effort. well done.
