WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
CALM
It's Mental Health Awareness Week and we are supporting the Campaign Against Living Miserably this year as our charity of the year - so far we have raised £1439.96 for this great cause with further big club fundraisers the Interclub Day on Sunday 7th June, and the Grand Day Out on Saturday 18th July still to come. I know club members such as Julian Fawkes have raised more funds for CALM individually as well.
So if you are struggling at the moment and can't see a way forward, or have lost someone to suicide or are worried about somebody then please don't hesitate to reach out for help and support - CALM's helpline number is 0800 58 58 58 .
KOMs and QOMs
I've seen a number of Strava crowns this week:
KOMs
Mohammed Arif
KJ Andrews x 2
QOMs
Kelly Baker x 2
Chapeau to you all.
THURSDAY RIDES
The rides for Thursday are now on the website for everyone to book onto in the members area. I have been doing a bit of housekeeping so if you've had a free trial for over a week now you will need to sign up as a full member (£25 for the rest of the calendar year) to get access to the rides . If you fancy a free trial, and haven't ridden with us before, use the coupon code FREERIDE26 . This week we have:
14-16mph Helen's flat lanes - 25 miles. A great way to find your feet with the club on a Thursday .
15-16mph Neil's Henley Dipper
16-17mph Ollie's Beoley and Broad Lane Bash
17-18mph James Barbers fat Fen End.
17-18mph Stu's Fiery/Twatling effort.
18-19mph Paraic is looking East.
21mph+ Paul Astin 34 miles as quick as you can.
Ride safe,
Bruno
