WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
HILL CLIMBS
Scott Hamblett raced the evening Hardwick Hall Hill Climb , and came 19th. He must have been moving some though, as the camera only caught his blurred vision as he raced by.
Harry G raced the Bushcombe Lane hill climb, and that also looked really hard ( judging by his Strava comment) - unfortunately i don't know his placing. Well done lads another great weeks racing.
GORILLA ENDURANCE
Sam Maybee rode his first "proper" solo audax the 408km Border Nights , taking nearly 18 hours and riding overnight - his first 400 as well. Chapeau .
GORILLA AUTUMN CLASSIC
Don't forget this weekend ( 26th/27th September) is the Autumn Classica - the flatter 100km route out to Bidford on Avon, or the Autumn Classico which is about 130km, and with more climbing. Do it on your own, or do it with mates, but do it for fun - there are no prizes. Full details, and gpx for both the routes is in the events section of our website .
AGM
Don't forget the AGM ( and awards - more on them in the coming weeks) are on 27th November . Lindsey Trivett, Rob Garratt and Dana Chirila are stepping down from their roles on the committee - a big thank you to them for the last 2 years. Rob Anderson has stepped into the sec role ( from vice sec.), Stuart John Bulloch and David Morton are both staying on in their general roles, as has Richard Bates as vice treasurer , and Eugene Vichare as treasurer ( for 1 final year). Thank you to all of them for their hard work and commitment to the club. I'm staying on as chair for now. As such we are looking for some new faces: The roles that need filling are:

and a general role.
The roles are voluntary, we meet once a month ( usually on a monday evening at present, but that is flexible). If you want to know more either speak to a current committee member, or check out the website for details of the roles. We'd love the committee to show the variety and breadth of the club, so if you have any ideas on how we can improve, if you want to help out, if you have some time to spare to the club then please get in touch.
