WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE ?
GORILLA'S GRAND DAY OUT / SUMMER EXCURSION and BBQ
It's the GDO this Saturday 18th July - tickets are available to purchase from the events section of our website for :
£6.00 BBQ only - for those who don't want to ride, or who wish to meet their partners for food after they finish.
£10.00 100km Summer Excursion - because of the hot weather we are now offering 2 start times for this.
8am ( with GDO start) - though if you finish before 2pm the finish venue at Old Yardleians Rugby Club won't be open ( and BBQ starts at 4pm).
and 11.30am - both from H&H on York rd.
I did the recon for this yesterday ( see attached photos - no spoilers!), and as always it's a great route, relatively flat, and apart from possibly some newly dressed roads most importantly clear, safe and rideable.
£10.00 200km Grand Day Out - i know Neil is doing the recon on this on Thursday.

GORILLA ENDURANCE
Talking of riding a long way Blake Timmins rode the Coast to Coast - Morecambe to Bridington ( The Way of the Roses) - 285km in 30C heat on Saturday - which was probably why he needed 21 bottles of water. Chapeau!
CYCLOCROSS
The west midlands cyclocross league released their event dates for 2026/27 this week - i'll post a photo of the full timetable in the comments on our FaceBook page but round 1 is on 6th September at Berryfields run by Stratford CC.
