WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
THE GORILLA TREASURE HUNT
The Treasure Hunt was a great success again- thanks to Rob Garrett for organising. We had 6 teams, 22 people taking part. The Hairy Dad Bods ( Oliver Agar, James Barber and Adam Maclean ) won with 1040 points after a mad dash to a far away 1000 point pub.
The Pirates of York Road with a cunning bit of route planning came second in some fetching piratical attire with matching parrots with 520 points , and the KOM squad came 3rd on 485. Pirates Playground ( 405) , Booty Snatchers (315) and On my Tod (341) all put in very creditable performances as well. Thank you to everyone for playing.
GORILLA ENDURANCE
Whilst some of us were playing Pirates, some of the troop were walking the plank, and a long plank it was too....!
Neil Cocklin and Joe Walker rode the 310km Knock Ventoux Audax , which had over 5000m of elevation around the Peak District on Sunday!
Sam Maybee and John Pears were doing a 190km "recon" for the 200 club over in Wales .
And Harry did the 230km Dad's Lane Dash on his own last Wednesday
Chapeau to you all.
