Gorilla’s Grand Day Out 2025

Gorilla’s Grand Day Out returns in 2025 for the 3rd time. For some this will be your longest ride of the year, for some your longest ride ever, whilst for others it might merely be a stepping stone to other challenges. Whatever it is to you, the event will give an opportunity for a great day out on the bike.

This year we will be heading out to the South West with an all new route for you to enjoy. The route is not mandatory, just make sure you pass through the control points listed in the brevet card. I think that we have chosen the best way to get between the points but if you fancy going another way that’s up to you. There will be 2 information control points this year, so you will need to bring a pen so that you can fill out your brevet card along the way.

There will be a coffee and pastry for every rider from 7am-7:25am, with the ride starting at 7:30am.

At the end there will be a BBQ with food included in the price. The venue for this will be well sign posted from the end of the route.

When - June 28th, 2025 - Coffee and pastries from 7am, ride starts 7:30am.
YOU WILL NEED TO BE AT THE START BY 7:30AM TO COLLECT YOUR BREVET CARD AND HEAR THE RIDER BREIFING.

Where - Hare and Hounds, York Road start, Wythall finish.

What - 200km with rolling terrain.

Cost - £10 - Book here.

Price includes - a pre-ride coffee/pastry, your brevet card, finishing BBQ, and an embroidered patch for those who complete the route. If you want to ride and have special dietary requirements please get in touch with Bruno and we’ll take it from there.

There are no plans to change the route, however, I will be doing the final test ride the week of the event which may lead to some enforced changes. You are free to download the route now, but I would suggest holding off until I give the final confirmation a few days before the event.
